About Kevin Raper

After much prayer, consideration, and encouragement from local residents, it is with great pride and honor that I am seeking re-election as your State Representative for District 24. Over the past term, I have been actively working to make Tennessee a better place to live, work, and raise a family. I will continue to lead and serve our city with honor, fidelity, and integrity.

  • Current District 24 State Representative
  • Vice Chairman of Education Instruction Committee
  • 30+ Year Resident of District 24
  • 30+ Year Member of First Baptist Cleveland
  • 30+ Years in Education: Teacher, Principal, and Coach
  • Served 4 Years as Bradley County Commissioner

Here are just a few examples of the work I have done in the last two years as your State Representative to help make life better in District 24:

  • Co-Sponsoring the Largest Tax Cut in Tennessee History
  • Protecting the Rights of the Unborn
  • Shielding Minors from Gender Altering Surgeries
  • Passing new legislation to protect homeowners from squatters
  • Being Easily Accessible to the Needs of ALL Constituents

I have been a lifelong educator and served as County Commissioner for the 7th District of Bradley County. During my tenure on the commission, I served on numerous committees, including Chairman of the Road Committee, Chairman of the Insurance Committee, a member of the Finance Committee, Fire/EMS Committee, Juvenile Committee, Audit Committee, and as an SPCA Board Member.

I am a graduate of McMinn Central High School, the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Tusculum College with a Master’s of Education, and Tennessee Technological University with an EdS degree in Leadership and Administration. My wife, Lori Bryant Raper, is also a lifelong educator. We have been married for 32 years and have two sons, Neyland and Manning. Neyland is the Director of Football Operations at the University of Georgia, and Manning is a sales consultant with Axle Logistics in Knoxville. We have been active church members of First Baptist Cleveland for over 30+ years.

Arriving in Cleveland in 1990 to teach mathematics and coach at Bradley Central High School, I have lived in District 24 for 30+ years. If re-elected to this office, I will continue to serve the residents of District 24 and strive to protect and preserve the rights and freedoms of the people with integrity and honor.

I would be honored to have your vote and support in the upcoming Republican Primary beginning July 12.
